JOIN THE MAYOR FOR AN ECONOMIC UPDATE ON GRIFFITH

Local business and industry associates are invited to join Griffith City Council Mayor Doug Curran for an economic update on our region.
Hear firsthand from Katrina Houghton from .id Consulting (Informed Decisions) as she provides an overview of the economic changes which have occurred in our area between 2021/22 and 2022/23.
Each year .id releases their annual State of the Region’s economic dataset. This dataset, provides economic and employment data for every Local Government Authority (LGA) in Australia, including Griffith.
The data will take in changes to local jobs, gross regional product as well as a breakdown of industry changes to help us answer the question – Where are we now?
Lunch with Mayor Curran - Featuring Katrina from .id will be held on Tuesday 15 August 2023 in the Griffith City Library Multipurpose Room, from 12pm to 1.30pm, a light lunch will be provided.
Griffith Mayor, Councillor Doug Curran said it was a good opportunity for businesses interested in the state of the economy.
“It’s always good to have this data explained by an expert because there is so much to uncover,” Councillor Curran said.
“What is great about this presentation is that we get to see how our economy is changing and how it compares to other areas.
“Katrina will tell the story behind the data and give us examples of how it can be used to benefit local businesses.”
