Residents Invited to Share Input on Griffith Central Business District in Council Survey

Thursday September 4, 2014

Griffith City Council is looking into the future development of Griffith’s city centre to make it a more attractive place to live, work and visit – and the community’s opinion will help shape the vision.

Local residents are being asked to share their views on the Griffith CBD Strategy by participating in a survey that is available on Council’s website or in printed copy at Council’s Administrative Building and at the Griffith City Library.

“The Griffith CBD Strategy is an exciting and important project that will guide the future development of our central business district, ensuring that it becomes a better place to live, work and visit,” said Mayor John Dal Broi. “Essentially, people make a place great and therefore it is important that our city has elements and activities that attract its community to more frequently visit the city centre and for longer periods of time,” Mayor Dal Broi added.

The survey includes questions related to issues surrounding the Griffith city centre and takes only a few minutes to complete. The data collated from the survey will provide pivotal information for Council in understanding what areas it needs to focus on in the strategy.

The deadline for the Griffith CBD Strategy survey is Friday October 24.
