WORK TO COMMENCE ON CITRUS AND RIFLE RANGE ROAD INTERSECTION

Infrastructure work that will enable Griffith City Council to support the delivery of new housing is set to commence at the intersection of Citrus Road and Rifle Range Road, Collina.
Funded by the NSW Regional Housing Fund, the aim is to unlock and accelerate new housing capacity in NSW.
Council’s Director Infrastructure and Operations, Mr Phil King said planning has been underway for some months, with the work to include the installation of turning lanes and new street lighting.
“There is a desperate need for housing in Griffith and these funds allow Council to deliver infrastructure to enable development to progress,” he said.
“Anything that Council can do to contribute to an increase in housing stock is being investigated.
“This is just one of the ways in which Council is helping to address the need.”
Council received $1,400,000 to carry out the work, which is expected to be completed by December 2023.
