ConnectYOUth2680 is an initiative of Griffith City Council that works towards uniting the youth community of Griffith to make our town a better place to live, learn, grow and connect with. The backbone and driving force behind this initiative is the newly established Youth Advisory Group (YAG). Currently the YAG consists of 30 members being young people ranging from 12 to 24 years of age. The purpose of the YAG is to be the voice of local young people and as a committee they are always open for new members to join. The YAG run informal meetings every second Monday night and discuss how they can help improve current issues that local young people face whilst living in Griffith. They also plan and then execute youth events for the whole community to enjoy, in 2023 so far they have held the 'ConnectYOUth2680 Youth Festival' and the 'ConnectYOUth2680 Glow Roller Disco'.
