Griffith City Council recognises that young people enrich our city's vibrant culture through their vitality and creativity.

A Youth Advisory Group (YAG) has been established to give young people in Griffith and villages a voice to address issues they feel are important and an opportunity to participate in developing activities to meet their needs.

The YAG meets regularly. It’s a great way to make new friends and ensure new things happen around Griffith.

The YAG holds various events throughout the year aimed at bringing 12 - 24 year olds together in a social setting. Some notable events are:

  • Drive-in Movie
  • GLOW Roller Disco
  • Sounds of Spring
  • Sounds of Autumn
  • Youth Week workshops preparing young people for adulthood
