Name our Mural Competition for school aged children

Griffith’s newest mural is now complete, and we need your help to give it a name!

Painted by renowned artist HEESCO, the striking artwork on Scenic Hill weaves together themes of water, multiculturalism, agriculture, manufacturing, and Indigenous heritage—reflecting Griffith’s rich and diverse community.

How to Enter

If you're a student in Kindergarten to Year 12 within the Griffith Local Government Area, we invite you to submit a name (maximum of three words) that captures the mural’s essence.

Submit your entry online using the below button, drop your submission off to Griffith City Library.

What you need to include

  • Your name suggestion (max. three words)
  • Your name
  • Your school’s name

Griffith Regional Theatre

Griffith Regional Theatre is located at the top of the main street of Griffith in Neville Place adjacent to the Council Chambers. The building was officially opened on 14 March 1987.

Our theatre is one of New South Wales’ premier performing arts venues. We provide world class performing arts and entertainment to the people of Griffith and surrounding regions. Our theatre is a state-of-the-art facility, with a seating capacity of 523 and we boast outstanding staging, lighting and sound facilities.

We offer a Season program each year to satisfy every artistic taste: drama, dance, music, comedy, cabaret, plus a young people's program.

The Theatre is available for hire and is used by touring and local performers, schools, dance schools, amateur theatre groups and musicians, as well as conference organisers and private businesses.

Griffith Regional Art Gallery

The Griffith Regional Art Gallery (GRAG) is a vibrant creative space in the Western Riverina. We are the permanent home of the National Contemporary Jewellery Collection and the Couture Collection.

The Gallery strives to showcase nationally significant exhibitions and provides a platform for exhibition opportunities for local artists. GRAG is committed to developing skills and promoting awareness in the visual arts via diverse public programs, workshops and floortalks.

Exhibition highlights over the past few years have been: The Archibald Prize (AGNSW), For Country; for Nation (AWM), Ken Done: Paintings You Probably Haven’t Seen (Ken Done Gallery), Tom Moore: Abundant Wonder (Jam Factory), Warangesda: Deep Waters (GRAG) and The Lakeview Art Collection (private collection).

The small yet committed team at GRAG are dedicated to being professional, approachable, creative, inclusive, informative and fun.
