Road closures

Notice is hereby given under the Roads Act 1993, Section 122, of the temporary closing of Keary Road between Triaca Road and Bilbul Road

Keary Road will be closed on Tuesday 6 October 2026 and Wednesday 21 October 2026 while Essential Energy conduct maintenance works on electrical infrastructure.  

A full road closure and detour will be in place between 9 am and 3 pm. 

Notice is hereby given under the Roads Act 1993, Section 122, of the temporary closing of the following locations to accommodate Griffith’s Biggest Lap, on Saturday 3^rd October 2026.

Benerembah Street will be closed from 11:45 am and 10 pm, which will close the following:

• Willandra Avenue – from Kookora Street to Benerembah Street
• Murrumbidgee Avenue - from Kookora Street to Benerembah Street
• Walla Avenue - from Kookora Street to Benerembah Street
• Griffin Avenue - from Kookora Street to Benerembah Street
• Kuttamulla Avenue - from Kookora Street to Benerembah Street
• Collarene Street - from Kookora Street to Benerembah Street
• Kooringal Avenue - from Kookora Street to Benerembah Street
• Banna Lane - from Kookora Street to Benerembah Lane
• Benerembah Lane – from Willandra Avenue to Murrumbidgee Avenue

Banna Avenue (from Bonegilla Road to Benerembah Street) will be closed from 4 pm until 8 pm, which will close the following:

• Tranter Place – from Railway Street to Banna Avenue
• Jondaryan Avenue – from Yambil Street to Banna Avenue
• Kooyoo Street – from Railway Street to Banna Avenue
• Ulong Street - from Railway Street to Yambil Street
• Kookora Street – from Banna Avenue to Yambil Street
• Kookora Street – from Kooringal Avenue to Banna Avenue
• Wayeela Street – from Kooringal Avenue to Banna Avenue
• Benerembah Lane – from Kooringal Avenue to Banna Avenue

A full road closure and detour will be in place with no access for vehicles unless registered as an Event Entrant. 

Notice is hereby given under the Roads Act 1993, Section 122, of the temporary closing of Bridge Road – Westbound Lane between Lenehan Road and Crossing Street.

Bridge Road will be closed on 24 September 2026 while Essential Energy conducts critical works on electrical infrastructure.

A full road closure and detour will be in place between 7.30 am and 4.30 pm.

Access to businesses on Bridge Road will be provided.

Notice is hereby given under the Roads Act 1993, Section 122, of the temporary closing of McKissack Road between Marriott Road and Mirrool Branch Canal Road.

McKissack Road will be closed from 23 September until 2 October 2026 while Murrumbidgee Irrigation conduct maintenance works.

A full road closure will be in place.

Notice is hereby given under the Roads Act 1993, Section 122, of the temporary closing of Bob Irvin Road between Irrigation Way and Morley Road.

Bob Irvin Road will be closed from 28 September until 2 December 2026 while excavation works are undertaken to replace a raw water pipeline.  

A full road closure and detour will be in place, with no access at Irrigation Way. Construction vehicles and residents will be provided access at Morley Road. 

Notice is hereby given under the Roads Act 1993, Section 122, of the temporary closing of Bilbul Road between Cooper Road and Bilbul Road and the closing of McLean Road between Bilbul Road and Beelbangera Road.

Bilbul Road and McLean Road will be closed from 12 to 17 October 2026 while Murrumbidgee Irrigation undertake maintenance works.

A full road closure will be in place with access to residents only.

Notice is hereby given under the Roads Act 1993, Section 122, of the temporary closing of Hebden Street between McCormack Road and Moura Street, Yoogali.

Hebden Street will be closed until 2 October 2026 while contractors’ conduct road construction works for subdivision.

A full road closure and detour will be in place.

Notice is hereby given under the Roads Act 1993, Section 122, of the temporary closing of Eipper Road between Bishop Road and Kurrajong Avenue.

Eipper Road will remain closed until 31st Octobre 2026 as additional works are required.

A full road closure and detour will be in place.

Notice is hereby given under the Roads Act 1993, Section 122, of the temporary closing of Smeeth Road between Jones Road and Boorga Road.

Smeeth Road will be closed until 30 September 2026 to facilitate works associated with the Residential Housing Infrastructure Project.

A full road closure will be in place, with detours for light and heavy vehicles in place.

Please be aware that detours are subject to change as works progress.

Notice is hereby given under the Roads Act 1993, Section 122, of the temporary closing of Boorga Road between Todd Road and Jones Road. 

Boorga Road will be closed until Wednesday 30th September while Griffith City Council complete works relating to the Residential Housing project. 

A full road closure and detour will be in place during this time.
