Griffith City Council has published its State of Our City Report, showcasing outcomes and service delivery over the last Council term. In line with the NSW Government’s Integrated Planning and Reporting legislation, Council is required to present this report to the second meeting of the newly elected Council for review. The Report offers a comprehensive summary of progress in implementing the Community Strategic Plan (CSP) and reflects on social, environmental, economic, and civic leadership goals since its adoption in March 2022. Griffith Mayor, Councillor Doug Curran, said the Report will be a valuable resource for new Councillors. "Previously called the End of Term Report, this document is now known as the State of Our City. I hope it proves useful to new Councillors as they gain insight into how we are realising our community’s aspirations,” Councillor Curran said. As part of the ordinary election year requirements, Council will incorporate the State of Our City Report in its Annual Report set to go to Council later this month. Key outcomes from the State of Our City Report 2022-2024 include:
Community and economic indicators are also outlined in the Report, showing progress and performance trends for the Griffith Local Government Area. Interested members of the community are encouraged to view the State of the City Report, available on Council’s websitewww.griffith.nsw.gov.au
