Dust off your cowboy boots and get ready to sing along: Griffith audiences are in for a toe-tappin’, heartstring-pullin’ treat as the smash-hit musical tribute show Coal Miner’s Daughter comes to town on Saturday 28 June 2025.
This unmissable theatre production brings the extraordinary life story of country music legend Loretta Lynn to the stage and tells her remarkable story. This iconic role is beautifully brought to life by acclaimed performer Amber Joy Poulton. From Loretta’s roots in the hills of Kentucky, to the heights of the Grand Ole Opry, Coal Miner’s Daughter is a celebration of grit, glory and great music.
Joining Amber Joy are powerhouse performers Lizzie Moore as the beloved Patsy Cline, with Denis Surmon bringing double the charm as both Conway Twitty and Willie Nelson and backed by their kickin’ band The Holy Men. This show delivers a nostalgic, foot-stomping journey through the golden age of country music.
From humble beginnings in Kentucky to becoming the First Lady of Country Music, Coal Miner’s Daughter is packed with all the hits you know and love – including You Ain’t Woman Enough, Don’t Come Home A-Drinkin’, Crazy, Fist City, One’s On The Way, Walkin’ After Midnight and so many more.
Theatre Manager Marg Andreazza said “We’re so excited to welcome such incredible talent to our stage and know audiences will be swept away by the magic of Coal Miner’s Daughter. Country music fans are in for a real treat, this show is packed with songs and spirit they’ll know and love.”
