Griffith students and their families are invited to attend HSC Explained, a free information session at Griffith City Library on Tuesday 10 June at 5pm.

This valuable event will provide insight into the Higher School Certificate (HSC), how the Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) is calculated, university admissions and the support services available to regional students pursuing higher education.

Experts from the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA), Universities Admissions Centre (UAC) and Country University Centre (CUC) will deliver practical information and answer questions about subject scaling, preferences, applications and navigating the next steps after school.

Griffith City Library Manager Chris Robson is encouraging local students to take advantage of the session.

“This is a fantastic opportunity for Year 10, 11 and 12 students and their parents or carers to get a clearer understanding of the HSC and beyond. It’s all about helping our young people feel more confident and supported in making decisions about their future,” Mr Robson said.
