Celebrate Seniors Festival with Author Anna Johnston at Library
Published on 24 February 2025
Griffith City Library is pleased to invite the community to a special Seniors Festival event featuring author Anna Johnston on Wednesday, 12 March at 11.30am.
Anna is the author of The Borrowed Life of Frederick Fife, a captivating debut novel that beautifully blends humour, heartache, and hope. Her story is a heartfelt exploration of love, loss, and the enduring power of human connection.
Anna's journey to becoming an author is just as remarkable as her book. While pursuing a medical degree, she made the life-changing decision to step away from her studies when her grandfather, Fred, was diagnosed with dementia. Anna took on the role of social support coordinator at his nursing home, where she and Fred spent his final years side by side, sharing meals, singing songs, and penning love letters to Fred’s beloved wife, Dawn.
After the author talk, guests can enjoy a light lunch and the opportunity to meet Anna, ask questions, and have books signed.
While this event is part of the Seniors Festival celebrations, everyone is welcome to attend.
