Griffith Regional Sports Centre (Officially opened 29 October 2022)
Griffith Regional Sports Centre is a state-of-the art multi-sport complex offering athletics, badminton, basketball, hockey, badminton, netball, volleyball and wheelchair sports.
The stadium houses seven indoor basketball courts adaptable for netball, indoor hockey, badminton, wheelchair basketball, wheelchair rugby league and volleyball.
Playing surfaces can be booked for other sports and purposes such as dance, martial arts, conferences and workshops.

Griffith Community Centre (Officially opened 13 November 2021)
The new $4.5M Griffith Community Centre project has now been completed, with services in the process of moving in. 
Located in Olympic Street, the Centre will house the Western Riverina Country Universities Centre as well as community organisations including: 

• Griffith Community Centre Inc.
• Griffith Counselling Service 
• Multicultural Disability Advocacy Association
• Red Cross Humanitarian Services
• Regional Disability Advocacy Service
• Charles Sturt University – Three Rivers (Department of Rural Health)
• One Door
• Kerrie Weymouth – Arts Therapist
• Alcoholics Anonymous (AA)
• Narcotics Anonymous (NA)
• Griffith Grow Group

The construction of the new Community Centre was fully funded with the NSW Government funding $3.65M and Griffith City Council and Country Universities Centre - Western Riverina each contributing $440K, following years of lobbying by Griffith City Council and Griffith Community Centre Inc.
 

Borland Leckie Park

Borland Leckie Park was completed in August 2023.
The inclusive playspace, located in Erskine Road, West Griffith, includes play equipment, seating, mature trees, shrubs, sitting wood, sandstone logs and an accessible footpath.
The construction of Borland Leckie Park was made possible by a $95,460 grant from the NSW Government's Infrastructure Grants Program and approximately $100k from Griffith City Council.

Community Gardens - Stuart McWilliam Stage Project 

The Community Stage Development was delivered as part of the "Stronger Country Communities Fund", a NSW Government initiative to help deliver local projects to regional communities.
The Community Gardens has an amphitheater, world class stage, covered paved area and amenities. Caters for events such as carols, stage performances and festivals. The stage has all lighting , audio and power capabilities. Hard stand area East of the stage for the parking of food vendors vehicles. It was officially opened in November 2021.

Wood Park

Wood Park playspace was offically opened in 2022.
The $380,000 project was funded through $66,000 from the NSW Government’s Stronger Country Communities Fund and $12,000 from Lions Club Griffith to build the shelter and associated services, with an additional $155,000 from the Department of Planning, Industry and Environment under the Everyone Can Play program, and $155,000 from Griffith City Council.
The inclusive playspace delivers significant improvements to the existing playground including a basket swing, climbing frame, picnic area, flying fox, accessible carousel with space for wheelchair and a seat for carer, and fitness equipment.

Griffith Regional Aquatic Leisure Centre 

The 50m outdoor pool and facilities at Griffith Regional Aquatic Leisure Centre were finalised and opened on 14 February 2021.
The project, part of the $26.5M Sports Precinct funded by Building Better Regions Fund (Australian Government), Regional Sports Infrastructure Fund (NSW Government), and Griffith City Council, features the construction of a 50m pool, new change rooms and toilets, accessibility ramp into the pool, and a new pump room to accommodate the needs of the new infrastructure.

The 50m Pool at Griffith Regional Aquatic Leisure Centre was officially opened on Wednesday by The Hon. Sussan Ley, MP, Member for Farrer, Minister for the Environment, Ms Steph Cooke, MP, Parliamentary Secretary to the Deputy Premier and Councillor John Dal Broi Mayor for the City of Griffith.
 

Griffith Housing Strategy

Griffith City Council adopted the Griffith Housing Strategy at the 26 November 2019 Ordinary Meeting of Council.  

The strategy is a detailed analysis of the current state of housing availability in Griffith undertaken by Dr Judith Stubbs and suggests methods of increasing access to diverse housing options for key target groups in the City experiencing housing stress.

Enticknap Park

Enticknap Park was officially opened during September 2019. The all abilities playground is located in East Griffith bordered by Langley Crescent, Grey Street and Murphy Crescent.

The playground caters to different levels of ability and is a place where children, young people and their families can play, socialise and have lots of fun. A brand new state of the art wheelchair accessible BBQ and picnic shelter will allow any and all members of the community to utilise the facility.

The playground features a huge 25m flying fox, 4m high climbing pyramid, sensory zone, basket swing, and a fully wheel chair accessible spinner and sand digger. 

The inclusive design of the playground will allow all members of the community the opportunity to use the facility.

Memorial Park Toilet Block & Stage

The Griffith Memorial Park Toilet Block and Banstand was officially opened on Friday 4 October 2019. 

The upgrades included a full renovation on the toilet block, and the installation of a community stage. 

Cricket nets at Jubilee

The Jubliee Oval Cricket Nets were also officially opened on Friday 4 October 2019. 

The 4 lane Cricket Net Complex at Jubilee Oval was constructed with thanks to funding secured from the NSW ICC T20 World Cup 2020 Cricket Legacy Fund and Griffith City Council.

The project is a joint initiative between Griffith Cricket Association and Griffith City Council and will see Jubilee Oval become a training hub for Representative and Junior Cricket, taking some of the pressure off other facilities across the area and freeing them up for club cricket training.

The $130,000 project (funded 50/50 with Council and the Cricket Legacy Fund) will also see the existing synthetic wicket resurfaced, as well as the construction of a new synthetic wicket.

The local cricket community have joined forces with the Association and Council and will carry out a series of working bees over the coming weeks to ensure the funding goes as far as possible.
