Council’s Star Shopper Campaign Coming To A Close

Friday, 08 Dec 2023

Council’s Star Shopper Campaign Coming To A Close Griffith City Council’s Star Shopper campaign is coming to a close, with just one week to go until the competition wraps up.
Residents are urged to shop local and complete an in-store entry form to go in the running to win a $500 first prize or one of five runner-up $100 vouchers to spend at any one of the participating businesses.
Griffith Mayor, Councillor Doug Curran, said the aim was to increase participation and engagement between Council, business and the community and to help invigorate the economy.
“We’ve had a good response again this year with more than 30 local retailers registering to be a Star Business,” he said.
“This Campaign is part of our wider Glow2680 promotion. The program is a win for everyone, it’s allowed Star Businesses to generate more sales and Star Shoppers receive the chance for a nice little Christmas bonus to spend at their favourite registered business.
“The promotion will end next Friday, December 15 2023 so I encourage you to look out for that star and get all your last-minute Christmas shopping done to be in the chance to take home a voucher.”
How shoppers can get involved:
  • Shop in-store throughout the promotional period (from Tuesday 1 November until Friday 15 December 2023) at any of the Star Businesses, easily identified by the Glow2680 Star Business Sticker
  • Fill out the in-store entry form issued upon spending $15 (one entry per spend)
For more information contact Council’s Economic Development team on 1300 176 077.
Winners will be drawn on Tuesday 19 December, 2023, the names will be posted to Facebook and published in the final Council Catch Up newsletter for the year on Thursday 21 December, 2023.
