Griffith City Council Grants Programs

There are two programs for groups and individuals to apply for funding for projects that deliver beneficial outcomes to the Griffith community.

These are:

  • Clubs NSW ClubGrants Program - currently closed

Application guidelines

Please read  Community Grant Program Policy (FS-CP-601) and Council's Social Plan guiding griffith 2040 before completing any application.

Individual Achievement Grants

Grants are for individuals under 25 years selected to represent NSW or Australia at significant events. The emphasis is on funding eligible applicants as a means to develop community capacity. 

This stream is open all year.

Please ensure your application is submitted well before undertaking the proposed event or activity.

Quick Turnaround Grants

Request for funds to support activities that arise during the year and are outside the guidelines of other grants. 

These are capped at $1,500. Requests to be addressed to the General Manager or Mayor and include a detailed overview including cost ofthe activity.

Community Grant Program - General - CURRENTLY CLOSED and we are not taking any applications

The previous round opened on  Monday 17 February 2020 and close Friday 20 March, 4pm.

This stream has two rounds per year which community organisations, services and individuals can apply and are capped at $2500 (or $4000 for exceptional projects)

Council is currently seeking new innovative projects which meet the strategies of the Guiding Griffith 2040 plan.

There are several criteria which must be met to be considered eligible.  Please refer to the documents at the top of this page for further information regarding eligibility and the terms and conditions of the grant.

No late applications will be considered.

Information Sessions - Community Grants

To assist applicants, two (2) information sessions will be held Thursday 5 March 2020 at 12 noon and Wednesday 11 March 5:30 pm at Griffith City Council. Please call Tanya Aramini - Community Development Officer on 6962 8100 to register your attendance.

Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic and the subsequent closure of Clubs, the Local Griffith ClubGRANTS Committee has had to suspend the 2020 Category 1 Funding Round.

Applications already lodged will be carried over to the next round that will be opened once there is a change in circumstances.  The Local Committee apologises for the decision and looks forward to supporting local organisations again soon.

Club NSW provides community groups and individuals with the opportunity to apply for a grant through its ClubGrants program. The grant is listed as a Category 1.

Category 1: Supports community welfare and social services; community development; employment assistance activities; community health services; and projects aimed at improving the living standards of low income and disadvantaged people.

No late applications will be accepted
