Integrated Planning & Reporting Framework

In 2009 the Integrated Planning and Reporting Framework (IP&R) for NSW Councils was introduced. Local councils in NSW are required to undertake their planning and reporting activities in accordance with the Local Government Act 1993 and the Local Government (General) Regulation 2005. The Integrated Planning & Reporting framework enables councils to integrate their various plans together, understand how they interact and get the maximum leverage from their efforts by planning holistically for the future. Under the IP&R framework Council is required to prepare the following documents:

Community Strategic Plan (CSP) (10 year plan)
Delivery Program (4 year plan)
Resourcing Strategy (Long Term Financial Plan, Workforce Plan and Asset Management Plans)
Operational Plan (Budget) (1 year)
Annual Report
End of Term Report
Six monthly progress reports
