GRIFFITH MAYOR CONGRATULATES NEW MEMBER FOR MURRAY

Griffith Mayor, Councillor John Dal Broi, has congratulated Helen Dalton on her election to the NSW parliament on Saturday.

Cr Dal Broi is committed to working with the new member for Murray.

“Griffith is a major centre in the Murray electorate and I will work with Mrs Dalton to benefit our community,” Mayor Dal Broi said.

“I’m hopeful we can achieve some positive outcomes moving forward.”

Cr Dal Broi thanked outgoing member Austin Evans for his hard work on behalf of the electorate over the past 17 months.

“Without Austin’s work, Griffith wouldn’t be in the positive position it is now. He helped us achieve a host of fantastic results such as $224 million redevelopment of the Griffith Base Hospital, $3.65 million for a brand-new Griffith Community Centre and $10 million funding for our Regional Sports Precinct,” Cr Dal Broi said.

Mayor Dal Broi and General Manager Brett Stonestreet plan to meet with Mrs Dalton in the near future to officially offer congratulations.
