Discover a whole new world of wild adventures at the Griffith City Library as the Summer Reading Club (SRC) kicks off.

SRC is a fun reading program for children aged between 5 -13 years. This year’s theme is Curious Creatures.

Register at the Library from Monday, 3 December 2018 to receive your free SRC pack containing everything you need to get started.

The aim of the challenge is to read as many books as you can during the summer holidays, and receive prizes along the way. The more books you read, the more prizes you win.

As you collect your fun incentive rewards you get the chance to take part in a sweet guessing competition, where one lucky reader will win a double pass to Altina Wildlife Park.

SRC is an annual program that supports continued development of multi-literacy skills in children and young people, including reading, writing, creative arts and multimedia technology skills during the summer months.

A range of fun activities will be held at the Library throughout the school holidays including Wednesday workshops. Bird Feeders with Bunnings will be held on 9 January, 2019 at 3pm, and Slime Time on 16 January, 2019 at 3pm.

Throughout January the Library will also be taking the ever-popular Storytime on road, with three themed locations helping set the scene.

Don’t forget the Lego Club will also run every day from 1pm to 4pm and Monday Movies at 10am.

To mark the end of Summer Reading Club, a party will be held on 23 January, 2019 at 10am, where participants will enjoy pizza, fruit, drinks and a movie screening.

Bookings for the workshops and the SRC Party can be made online at or by phoning the Library on 6962 8300.
