DUSTY AND THE DIVAS READY TO DAZZLE AT GRIFFITH REGIONAL THEATRE

Prepare to be dazzled by glitz and glamour when Dusty and the Divas shimmy into Griffith Regional Theatre on Friday, 22 February 2019 at 11am.

A truly dazzling display of divas will have feathers flying and sequins shining as all the classic hits of the late Dusty Springfield are brought back to life with Sharon Rowntree’s Dusty and the Divas tribute show.

Entertainer Sharon Rowntree said the show features popular divas from the 1960s and 1970s. Sharon’s daughter Jessica also takes to the stage as part of the show, with mother and daughter delighting the crowd with their great vocals and fabulous outfits.

“We have a lot of fun with the show and enjoy being able to entertain and captivate our audiences,” Sharon said.

Manager of Griffith Regional Theatre, Raina Savage, said,  “People will love the characters in the show, they are iconic female entertainers who helped shape the music industry - like Cilla Black, Nancy Sinatra, Patsy Cline, Karen Carpenter, Dolly Parton and Connie Francis. Sharon and Jessica don’t just sing – they embody each character in costume and song.”

“The audience will re-live some of the best loved melodies and classics of these great eras: like Shout, Downtown, Mr. Postman, 9 to 5, Jolene, and I Only Want to Be With You plus many more,” Ms Savage said.

The divas fast paced changes and glitzy gowns will leave patrons spellbound as the divas dance across the stage and through the audience with dazzling smiles and repartee.

The Dusty and the Divas show is more than a tribute, its awesome songs, great laughs and a visual treat all rolled into one.
