Rugby League The Musical is back on the road for 2019!

After the triumphant 2018 season, Australia's hardest working sports satirist, Denis Carnahan, is bringing his hilarious spoof musical to Griffith Regional Theatre on Friday 19 July.

Rugby League The Musical is a high energy and hilarious one man show. A brilliant blend of sketch comedy, stand-up comedy and musical satire, that takes aim at The Greatest Game of All and its many colourful characters and controversies. The 2019 National Tour of Queensland will feature side splitting new material based on the current rugby league season, along with old favourites that have made his show a cult hit.
Denis came to prominence through his viral State Of Origin song “That’s In Queensland”. Over the years, he’s written dozens of other songs for ABC Grandstand, FBi’s Fire-Up!, Triple M’s Grill Team, Fox Sports, The Matty Johns Show, and The Footy Show.

Manager of Griffith Regional Theatre Raina Savage said, “You don’t need to know anything about rugby league to enjoy this ridiculously funny, send up show – with great songs and hilarious lyrics.

“This fabulous cabaret performance will be in the Burley Griffin Room, so the audience will be treated to an intimate, up close and personal experience with one of the true stars of Australian sketch comedy,” Ms Savage said.

Rugby League the Musical is in the Burley Griffin Room at Griffith Regional Theatre on Friday 19 July at 8.30pm. Tickets strictly limited.

All tickets $40. Tickets can be purchased from the Box Office, by calling 6962 8444 or visit
