Notice is hereby given under the Roads Act 1993, Section 122, for the temporary closing of:

Dussin Street between Clifton Boulevarde and Ballestrin Street will be closed from 7 September until 23 September 2020 for the construction of a median by MNC Pipelines and Civil. Access for residents will be available. A detour route will be provided via Zilliotto Street.

Gillmartin Drive and Rifle Range Road, Madden Drive between Gillmartin Drive and Tucker Street and Gillmartin Drive between Hardiman Way and Citrus Road will remain closed until 23 September 2020 as M.N.C Pipelines will be undertaking roundabout and road construction. Access for residents and detours around the worksite will be provided.

Little Road between Foreshaw Avenue and Thorne Road will be closed from 27 July until 12 October 2020 for the installation of a pipeline across a roadway by Watertek. Detours around the worksite and  access for residents will be provided. 

Yambil Street between Kooyoo Street and Ulong Street will remain closed to West bound traffic until 21 September 2020 as part of the Yambil Street Stage 2 upgrade by Griffith City Council. Detours around the worksite and access for pedestrians will be provided. A 40km/h speed limit will also be in place.


Griffith City Council wishes to advise that an Extraordinary Meeting of Council is to be held Tuesday, 29 September 2020 commencing at 7.00pm. The Council Meeting will be live streamed through Council’s Facebook page and an audio recording of the meeting will be available on Council’s website the following day.

Council Meetings are conducted in accordance with the Code of Meeting Practice. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, attendance at Council meetings is limited. If you wish to attend a Council Meeting in person you are required to book online through Eventbrite.

Members of the public can address a Council Meeting on items listed in the Agenda through the following options:

  • Attend the Council Meeting in person at the Council Chambers, 
  • Attend the Council Meeting via Zoom Audio Visual Conferencing, 
  • Submit comments to be read aloud at the Meeting in writing.

Applications to address a Council Meeting must be received by 12 noon on the day of the Meeting. Applications are to be approved by the Mayor. To lodge an application to address a Council Meeting please fill in the online application form which is available on Council’s website.

The Business Paper for the Extraordinary Meeting of Council to be held 29 September 2020 will be available on Council’s website by Friday, 25 September 2020.

Council Meetings are held on the second and fourth Tuesday of the month.
