Morning Melodies -tribute To Rodgers & Hammerstein We have all heard their songs and enjoyed their musicals - the legendary Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein II were known as America’s most successful musical theatre writing team and their partnership has been called the greatest of the 20thCentury.
Griffith Regional Theatre, along with JTM Productions, is delighted to present the first Morning Melodies show of the year on Friday 12 March, dedicated to the music of this great duo with Some Enchanted Evening.
Featuring performances by Karla Hillam and Jonathan Guthrie-Jones, Some Enchanted Evening includes classic tunes from Musicals such as Carousel, The King and I, South Pacific, The Sound of Music and many more.
Acting Manager of the Regional Theatre, Margaret Andreazza, said guests may remember Karla and Jonathan from their performance of Practically Perfect a couple of years ago.
“This time they bring the music of Rodgers & Hammerstein to life in an enchanting concert of exquisite songs from the golden age of musicals.” Said Ms Andreazza.
“The audience will know many of the songs, such as Climb Every Mountain, Oh, What a Beautiful Morning and You’ll Never Walk Alone and be tempted to sing along from their seats!”
“Our complimentary morning tea will of course be served before the show, and we look forward to welcoming our patrons back in a COVID-safe way,” she added.
Some Enchanted Evening – The Music of Rodgers & Hammerstein is at Griffith Regional Theatre on Friday 12 March at 11am. Complimentary morning tea from 10am.
Tickets are Advance Purchase $16.50 (until 26 Feb); Full Price $21.50.
