Griffith Youth Get Job Ready

Monday, 29 Mar 2021

Griffith Youth Get Job Ready When it comes to helping young people develop new skills to find work, Griffith City Library is on the job.
To celebrate Youth Week the Library will be running a Job Readiness Program on Tuesday, 20 April from 4pm - 6.30pm.
Library Manager Karen Tagliapietra said the program was about teaching jobseekers how to effectively present themselves to prospective employers, both in writing and in person.
“We invite people needing assistance to join us for this helpful, hands-on session,” said Ms Tagliapietra.
“They will get to create resumes, cover letters, and will be provided some interview techniques.  We will also have a representative from TAFE available to talk about courses that are available.”
The aim of the Program is to make the job hunting process as straightforward as possible while offering practical advice.
"We hope to introduce people to the resources available to them and allow them to feel more confident in their job searching and the application process,” said Ms Tagliapietra.
Those interested in attending the Job Readiness Program must book at wrl.eventbrite.com.au, pizza will also be served. For more information call the Library on 6962 8300.
