Council Welcomes New Airport Coordinator
Tuesday, 16 Mar 2021Griffith City Council announces the appointment of Mr Shoaib Kazmi in the role of Griffith Airport Facility Coordinator.
Mr Kazmi brings sound aviation knowledge to Griffith, having worked at Dubai International Airport and Emerald Airport for Central Highland Regional Council (CHRC) in Queensland for more than 8 years.
Director Sustainable Development, Mr Phil Harding is pleased to have Shoaib join the team at Council.
“I am really happy to welcome Shoaib to Griffith and the Airport. His aviation and technical knowledge is of a very high standard,” said Mr Harding.
“We are fortunate to have such an experienced coordinator join us here at Griffith Airport. I look forward to working closely with Shoaib to ensure Griffith Airport continues to provide the best service for our City and to develop plans for the future growth of Griffith Regional Airport.”
Mr Kazmi looks forward to serving the community and putting his vast knowledge and skills to good use in Griffith.
“My main focus is to make Griffith Airport a friendly and comfortable facility for all travellers’,” said Mr Kazmi.
“I believe that airports are the gateways to communities and cities. At Griffith City Council we are committed to doing our very best to create a most welcoming environment to new visitors and locals returning back home or travelling out.
“I want to extend my gratitude to the people of Griffith for making me feel welcome so far. I am looking forward to this new chapter of my life in this beautiful regional City.
