Clubgrants Funding Available To Boost Community Organisations

Thursday, 25 Feb 2021

Clubgrants Funding Available To Boost Community Organisations Griffith Local Government Area Registered Clubs are encouraging community organisations to apply for funding, thanks to the next round of the ClubGRANTS program opening Monday 1 March 2021.
Registered clubs who earn $1million or more in gaming machine profit each year are taxed through the ClubGRANTS scheme, which enables a club’s participation, support, and leadership within their local area by providing funding for projects, services, and programs that benefit their community.
Manager Griffith Leagues Club, Anthony Lico said community, sporting and cultural organisations are the lifeblood for many communities.
“ClubGRANTS aims to fund programs which support community welfare and social services, community development, employment assistance activities, community health services and projects aimed at improving the living standards of low income and disadvantaged people,” said Mr Lico.
“Griffith Leagues Club is pleased to be able to work with Griffith Exies to support these vital organisations and programs.”
Mr Garry Tucker, Manager Griffith Exies said ClubGRANTS funding is designed to give community organisations a boost when and where it’s needed most.
“Supporting the local community is a priority for the Griffith Exies and the ClubGRANTS is a fantastic way for us to give something back to the organisations and groups who need a hand to support Griffith residents,” said Mr Tucker.
“I would encourage community, sporting and cultural organisations to log on to clubgrants.com.au to view the eligibility criteria and to prepare an application.”
The ClubGRANTS program is opening on Monday 1 March and will close 30 June 2021.
