Call Out For Citrus Sculpture Entries

Monday, 23 May 2022

Call Out For Citrus Sculpture Entries It’s that time of the year again when locals are urged to get their application forms in to participate in the 2022 Real Juice Company Citrus Sculptures.

“If entering a new sculpture this year, we’d love to see people think outside the box with their design and be creative, it doesn’t have to relate to your business, but more something that visitors will remember,” said Izabella Apolloni, Griffith City Council Events Coordinator.

Applications for new and returning sculptures are due in on Friday 1 June 2022.

“We are looking forward to growing our event this year, especially heading into our 25th anniversary next year, which will be a big one,” Miss Apolloni said.

“It’s such a great event that brings so many people in our community together and it is easy to get involved, just contact our Tourism Team on visitgriffith@griffith.com.au and ask for an application form.
“We’re excited to see what people come up with this year.”

Griffith Mayor, Councillor Doug Curran said the citrus sculptures were a wonderful opportunity for businesses to capitalise on the influx of visitors and the coverage they receive.

“Thousands of visitors come to town for Spring Fest and most of them stop by, take photos, and share the unique experience with others,” Councillor Curran said.

“It’s a fantastic way to get exposure especially if your sculpture stands out as something a bit different.”

Construction day for the Real Juice Company Citrus Sculptures this year will be Sunday 9 October, with dismantle taking place on Sunday 23 October.

Griffith Spring Fest incorporates the Griffith Garden Festival, Real Juice Company Citrus Sculptures and so many other events that showcase everything our region has to offer.
