A Morning Of Nostalgic Music Of Wartime Classics At The Theatre Spirit of Anzac is a show of remembrance and heartfelt tributes that will be performed at the Griffith Regional Theatre on Thursday 11 April 2024, as part of their Morning Melodies series.
Many great singers who performed during the wars are highlighted in this production, including Dame Vera Lynn, The Andrew Sisters, Bob Dylan, Normie Rowe, and many more. Songs include, Chattanooga Choo Choo, Blowin' In The Wind, He Ain’t Heavy He’s My Brother, and a stirring version of Bring Him Home from Les Misérables.
Griffith Regional Theatre Manager, Marg Andreazza said, “Patrons will be transported back in time by a line-up of timeless tunes, from the soul-stirring 'White Cliffs of Dover' to the toe-tapping 'Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy.”
Presented by Promac Productions, the show will be led by narrator and compere Chris McKenna, accompanied by a stellar cast including tenor Roy Best from Opera Australia, international soprano Alison Jones, and the talented pianist William Schmidt.
“If you were captivated by our enchanting 'SPIRIT of CHRISTMAS' Morning Melodies last year, prepare to be moved once again as we welcome Chris and the team back to the stage for another unforgettable production,” Marg Andreazza said.
The Morning Melodies show Spirit of Anzac is performing at the Griffith Regional Theatre on Thursday 11 April at 11am. Ticket price includes Morning Tea from 10am, and $15 early bird tickets can be purchased until 5pm on Thursday 28 March, then all tickets are $20 each.
