Director Business, Cultural & Financial Services Resigns

Griffith City Council wishes to advise that Steve Saffioti, the Director of Business, Cultural, and Financial Services has resigned.
General Manager Brett Stonestreet extends his best wishes for Steve's success in his future endeavours.
“It is with great regret that I advise that Mr. Steve Saffioti, Director Business, Cultural and Financial Services has tendered his resignation effective immediately. Steve commenced in the Director role during December 2022 and has made a commendable contribution to Griffith City Council,” Mr Stonestreet said.
“From his first day on the job, Steve was resolute in providing well researched and accurate financial information towards the case for a Special Rate Variation.
“Steve was responsible for several facilities including the Griffith Regional Theatre, Griffith Aquatic Leisure Centre, Griffith Library, Pioneer Park, Griffith Regional Art Gallery and Griffith Regional Sports Centre. Steve worked closely with the Managers of each of these facilities to ensure our community enjoy using these excellent venues.”
Mr Stonestreet thanked Steve for his significant contributions.
“Steve leaves Council with my sincere best possible wishes and thanks for a job well done. Council will shortly commence the recruitment process to replace Steve in this important role and in the interim Ms Vanessa Edwards, Manager Finance will be Acting Director,” he said.
