A hermit called Valerio Ricetti called the cave & rocky escarpment his home from 1929 to 1940. He created stone walls, steps and pathways linking different areas. Visitors today marvel at the remarkable site he created. Pick up a flyer at the Griffith Visitor Information Centre.

Centenary Sculptures - IOOF Park

A gift to the City of Griffith from the people of Griffith to commemorate 100 years of progress. These seven beautiful sculptures were carved from 20 tonnes of granite by some of the best hard stone sculptors in the world. The sculptures reflect the theme ‘Griffith’s cultural diversity and the meaning of water’.

The Griffith Regional Art Gallery represents the creative face of not just this town, but the wider Riverina. It is the only Regional Gallery between Wagga Wagga, NSW on one side and Broken Hill, NSW on the other. The Gallery is open Wednesday - Friday 10am - 5pm. Saturday & Sunday from 11am - 2pm.
