Agricultural Tours Riverina
Farm 202 Canal Road, Merungle Hill NSW 2705
Designing and conducting group tours to farms and processing industries. Ideal for professionals, schools, universities and holiday makers.
Agricultural Tours Riverina (ATR) is a small, specialist provider of personalised and pre-planned regional learning experiences. The Riverina is one of the most productive and agriculturally diverse regions in Australia – our high-quality tours take in an interesting mix of local agricultural enterprises with different approaches and attitudes to farming, the environment and rural communities.
We know the Riverina – and most importantly, we know where the best farms and enterprises are. Our professional team delivers tour programs that cover rice, nuts, stone fruit, grapes, wineries, citrus, vegetables, juicing plants, agricultural engineering, water management, transport and logistics, cereal cropping, as well as sheep and cattle production within the Western Riverina Region.
What is included in the tour fee?
When we are confident we understand your tour requirements, we will construct a basic itinerary and budget for your consideration, which will include entry fees, disbursements to speakers and farmers, hire of safety clothing and accompaniment by a local tour organiser.
Meals, accommodation and transport are covered in the quoted fee, at your request.
Are the tours designed to cater to all ages and abilities?
Our team is able to cater for a variety of groups, including technical specialists, generalist tour groups (such as seniors groups) and educational tours for high school, college and university groups. Should any member of your group have any special needs, please let us know and we can make appropriate arrangements to ensure a seamless experience for everyone.
Can I send a tour scout to explore the itinerary?
Sending tour scout to explore the itinerary can be useful and reassuring before finalising your tour booking. We are happy to accommodate – and will ensure a local expert is available (at cost) to make suggestions and organise introductions.
What if I want to change the itinerary?
Your suggested itinerary can be amended once or twice at your request, without charge. Further amendments can be made for a negotiated price.
When is payment required?
Once you are happy with the suggested itinerary we will lock it in (see our booking terms and conditions) upon receipt of a non-refundable deposit of 20 per cent of our quoted fee. When your tour proceeds, that deposit is subtracted from our charges, which are payable in full 20 business days prior to commencement of your tour, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
