Zecca Homemade Italian
239 Banna Avenue, Griffith NSW 2680
Getting back to the true roots of regional Italian food. Ben, Daniel and Michaela – three locals passionate about seasonal cooking, local produce and Italian culture.
The name “Zecca” in Italian means “mint” - where your money gets printed! The building was originally the Rural Bank and this is one way the Zecca team are paying homage to its history.
"Our aim is to nourish our community with wholesome, quality, seasonal and authentic regional Italian food, using fresh, locally sourced produce. We are working together with local farmers and producers to showcase the best of what Griffith and the surrounding area has to offer.
Our idea is to help create a sense of community, whilst representing our Italian heritage in the preparation, education and sharing of traditional Italian food.
We prepare fresh house made pasta every day, sauces, breads, preserves, salumi and cheese, and use locally grown fruit, vegetables, olive oils and wines. We produce and sell our own artisan dried pasta for you to enjoy at home when you can't eat with us!
We will endeavour to re-introduce true traditional Italian food and culture back into our local area, with exciting food, inspiring menus and regional Italian nights, which showcase the diversity of food, wine and culture of all the regions of Italy. We want to create a strong sense of community, which is prominent in Italy.
We genuinely hope you enjoy your experience at Zecca, thank you for visiting our cucina. Grazie mille, ci vediamo! " Ben, Michaela & Daniel.
