    ART WORKSHOPS FOR KIDS WITH CORY MCKENZIE

    A fun workshop for 7 to 12 year olds. Kids will create with colour and learn lots of fun techniques with Wiradjuri artist Cory McKenzie. Cory is a Wiradjuri man who was been teaching culture and creating Aboriginal Artefacts and designs for 20 years. Cory draws his inspiration from the Land.

    Spring Emeri's Garden Tour and Wine Tasting Experiences

    We are excited to offer our guided garden tours and wine tasting experiences, commencing this Spring.
    Package 1 - $20pp
    Guided garden tour exploring 14 acres of native and specimen plants, dry river beds, dry stone walls, meandering paths, a folly, complete with a superb native billabong garden created by Phillip Johnson Landscapes. Followed by a wine tasting at our award winning cellar door.

    Package 2 - $30pp (add antipasto platter in step2)
    Guided garden tour exploring 14 acres of native and specimen plants, dry river beds, dry stone walls, meandering paths, a folly, complete with a superb native billabong garden created by Phillip Johnson Landscapes. Followed by a wine tasting with a generous individual antipasto platter at our award winning cellar door.

    Allow approximately two hours for the experience.

    Remember to be sun smart and wear comfortable flat shoes with grip.

    Meet the local growers and makers at the weekly market. Choose from freshly picked fruit and vegetables, eggs, cakes, Italian biscuits, gnocchi, jams, relish and more.

    On offer are fresh fruit and vegetables, biscuits and pizza bases, fresh honey, jewellery, candles, clothes, preserves and oils, seedlings and plants, gift idea's for all ages, as well as on occasion's, chooks ducks and piglets plus much much more! 

    Gold coin donation at the gate to Rotary Club of Griffith. All donations raised by Rotary are returned to the community via donations to very worthy causes.  Last financial year the Rotary Club of Griffith donated over $58,000 to local and national organisation with over $50,000 of thay being distributed locally.

    Held every Sunday from 7:30am until noon at the Griffith Showgrounds.

    A young girl hits a ball against the tin wall with a frying pan. This is where it all began for Evonne Goolagong, the Wiradjuri girl who conquered the world.

    Griffith Regional Theatre and Performing Lines present the World Premiere of Sunshine Super Girl – the Evonne Goolagong Story – written and directed by Yorta Yorta/Gunnakurnai playwright Andrea James - a brand new theatre work celebrating the life and achievements of Australia’s best loved sporting legend.

    A proud Wiradjuri woman, Evonne was born in Griffith and we are thrilled to launch her moving and often funny story here - where it all began. The quintessentially Australian story of a girl from the bush who dared to dream, and overcame incredible odds to become World Number 1!

    Join us for this unique cultural event – with a Red Carpet Gala VIP premiere, Wiradjuri Welcome Ceremony and Cultural Festival – to celebrate the life of Griffith’s most famous living treasure.
