    Griffith Regional Art Gallery School Holidays Workshops - Drawing with Anthony Cahill

    Date: Friday 7 or Saturday 8 October Time: 9am - 12pm 

    This intensive three-hour workshop is available to youth between the ages of 15-18 years.

    Anthony Cahill is a Drawing Lecturer currently teaching at the National Art School in Sydney and was a finalist in the Dobell Drawing Prize #22, which is currently on display at the Griffith Regional Art Gallery until Sunday 23 October. Anthony will provide participants with insight into basic mark-making through the practice of drawing. Participants will also gain a better understanding of drawing principles, observation of a subject and mark-making techniques such as outlining and shading.

    All materials for this workshop will be supplied. We ask that participants only register for one of the two time sessions available. Proudly funded by the NSW Government.

This National Art School touring exhibition showcases 43 of the 64 finalists from the 2021 Prize and includes Euan Macleod’s winning work, chosen by guest judge and acclaimed artist Lucy Culliton. Presenting a range of material approaches – from animation, collage and paper weaving, to charcoal, ink and watercolour – the exhibition demonstrates the remarkable vitality and scope of contemporary Australian drawing.

    To help Piccolo Family Farm celebrate the return of A Day in the Orchard festival, the Flying Fruit Fly Circus are running a circus workshop for young people aged 7 - 14. Participants will learn a range of circus skills including obstacle course, juggling, hula, skipping, Diablo, Pyramids (human balances). Participants will also receive a youth ticket to A Day in the Orchard Sunday 9th October! This workshop is proudly sponsored by Griffith City Volkswagen

    The Citrus Sculptures are on display in Banna Avenue for two weeks, and they encourage you to park in the Griffith Visitor Information Centre car park and then wander through the sculptures and admire the citrus industry in the region.

    The Sculptures are the hero event of the Griffith Spring Fest. Also, visit the open gardens at the Garden Festival, the Multicultural Festival, join in the festivities at the Launch Party or book a seat on the garden tour bus. Plenty is going on in Griffith during Spring Fest.

    A Day in the Orchard

    ADITO is back!
    The music, food and arts festival is a family-friendly event and set to be a fantastic day out. With talented musicians, quality food and beverages, artists and makers, this event is set on a unique and beautiful working farm in Lake Wyangan, near Griffith NSW.

    The ticket price includes; entry to the festival, entertainment from Pristine Production's main stage and interactive activities and performances from local artists and makers.

    About Piccolo Family Farm:

    The Piccolo Farm is a fully functional farm that supplies Limone Dining with fresh produce daily. Sitting on 20 acres just outside of Griffith, the farm produces the majority of our herbs, garnishes, fruits and vegetables. We use sustainable farming practices, with all of our produce harvested by hand and free of chemicals and pesticides. The property features a citrus orchard, vineyard, vegetable and herb garden, and 2-acres of beautiful gardens with unique outbuildings.
