Spring Photo Competition


Although we aren't able to share our wonderful open gardens with you this year, we want to see what you have been up to in the garden this Spring.


1. Like/Follow Griffith Spring Fest on Facebook or @VisitGriffith on Instagram
2. Get snapping in your garden this Spring
3. Post your photo/s on Facebook or Instagram, tag @GriffithSpring Fest and @VisitGriffith and use the hashtag #SpringFestOnline

Our very special guest, Costa Georgiadis, will judge the best photo and the winner will recieve a $100 gift voucher at Bunnings Warehouse.



1 - The promoter is Griffith Tourism Hub who is located at Corner Jondaryan Ave and Banne Ave, Griffith

2 - The competition is open to residents of Australia.

3 - There are no entry fees or purchases necessary to enter this competition.

4 - What can be submitted? The entry must be a photograph.

5 - Entries must be the original work of the entrant. The entrant must be the sole copyright holder of the work. By submitting an entry, the entrant warrants that:

- the intellectual property rights in the entry are owned by the entrant.
- any consents or licences required in respect of names, trademarks, designs, works of art or any other intellectual property depicted in the entry have been obtained by the entrant before submitting the entry.
- intellectual property rights and moral rights of a third party have not been infringed.

The entrant indemnifies Griffith City Council for any actions arising from unlawful or unlicensed use of any image, name, trademark of design contained in any entry.

6 - By entering this competition, an entrant indicates their agreement to be bound by these stated terms and conditions.

7 - Up to three (3) entries may be entered per individual. Multiple entries will only be considered if the additional individual (e.g. children of contestant) does not have their own Instagram or Facebook account.

8 - Entrants agree to their entry being reproduced by print and/or electronic media in advertising and promotion of Griffith Spring Fest.

10 - Closing date for entry will be Sunday 25 October 2020. After this date no further entries to the contest will be permitted.

11 - The competition organisers are not responsible for entries that cannot be viewed or received for reasons outside of the organiser’s control.

12 - The rules of the competition and how to enter are as follows:

  1. Entrants’ personal social media account must have either ‘liked’ “Griffith Spring Fest” Facebook page, or, be ‘following’ “Visit Griffith” Instagram page.
  2. Entrant must upload relatable post on either Facebook or Instagram
  3. Such Facebook or Instagram post must be accompanied by a ‘tag’ of ‘Griffith Spring Fest' and/or 'Visit Griffith’ and the ‘hashtag’ of  #SpringFestOnline

13 - The promoter reserves the right to cancel or amend the competition and these terms and conditions without notice in the event of unforeseeable circumstances outside of the promoter’s control.

14 - The promoter is not responsible for inaccurate prize details provided to any entrant by any third party connected with this competition.

15 - The prize is as follows: $100 Gift Voucher at Bunnings Warehouse.

The prize is as stated and no cash or other alternatives will be offered. The prizes are not transferable. Prizes are subject to availability and we reserve the right to substitute any prize with another of equivalent value without giving notice.

16 - Entries will be judged by Costa Georgiadis. The winner will be chosen at the discretion and judgement of the promoter, from all entries received and verified by promoter and or its agents. Judge's decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

17 - The winner will be notified via Instagram or Facebook direct message on or within 5 days of the winner being chosen. If the winner cannot be contacted or does not claim the prize within 14 days of notification, we reserve the right to withdraw the prize from the winner and pick a replacement winner.

18 - The winner will need to provide a postal address to receive the prize, unless pick up from a notified collection point, such as the Griffith Visitor Information Centre, is possible.

19 - The promoter will notify the winner when and where the prize can be collected / is delivered.

20 - The winner agrees to the use of his/her Instagram handle or Facebook profile and image of their artistic creation in any publicity material. Any personal data relating to the winner or any other entrants will be used solely in accordance with current Australian data protection legislation and will not be disclosed to a third party without the entrant’s prior consent.

21 - Entry into the competition will be deemed as acceptance of these terms and conditions.

22 - This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Instagram, Facebook or any other Social Network. By entering this competition entrants warrant that they understand that they are providing their information to Griffith Tourism Hub and not to Instagram, Facebook or any other Social Network. By participating in this promotion entrants agree to a complete release of Instagram, Facebook or any other Social Network from any claims.
