The Museum prides itself on being one of the prized venues in the local area known for its natural surroundings. Set amongst natural bush land on Scenic Hill, the grounds of the museum are an ideal location for a wedding with a difference. The wedding can be held in the historic St James Church and the guests can then move a short distance to the reception area within the grounds of the museum. Alternatively, you can opt to have your wedding portraits taken her for a nominal fee - what better background can you imagine to capture your special day?

The Museum can also cater for christenings, social functions, child care groups, arts classes and many other social groups as well as seminars and workshops for your commercial and not for profit organisation.


This is the oldest church in the Murrumbidgee Irrigation Area, built in 1907 on the property "The Cliffs" between Yoogali and Bilbul. It was later moved in 1913 to what is now known as Hanwood, by placing it on large pine logs which acted as a sled, pulled by a steam traction engine.

The first service in the relocated church was held around September 1913. Fifty eight years later, on Sunday, 16th May 1971, Archdeacon Victor Twigg conducted the last service.

The church was relocated to its present position in June 1971. Today the church is used as a focal point for commemorative services, marriages, christenings and other special events.

The church can be hired in conjunction with Myall Park Hall, or why not take advantage of the natural bush surrounds and have your reception at one of the outdoor areas located within the park.


Set among natural bush with an adjacent lawn area the Myall Park Hall is an ideal location for corporate functions or in conjunction with St James Church the hall can be used for a wedding reception or christening.

The hall has full catering facilities with toilets (including disabled) nearby. The hall has heating and cooling as well as a modern industrial kitchen or, why not use the outdoor BBQ facilities if you are planning a more casual function.

Catering can be In house or outside caters can be brought in if required.

Venue Hirers of significant events must supply their own Covid 19 Safety Plan.
Significant events are: corporate events, religious services, funerals or wakes and weddings or wedding receptions.
All hirers must comply with the 1:4 sq meter rule.
