UP CLOSE

Feeling isolated? Need some creative inspiration in these socially isolated days? Well we've got the some good news for you!

UP CLOSE is Griffith Regional Art Gallery’s first online community exhibition! In the spirit of sticking together whilst staying apart - this exhibition will be hosted online and anyone will be able to participate!

This exhibition invites locals of all ages to create a photographic portrait of someone who is sharing their isolation. With all that time on your hands why not use it to study the features and capture the unique characteristics of your loved ones – be it partner, kids, parents, grandparents, flatmates – or the family pet! Whoever makes you feel connected when we are separated from so much. You can even create a ZOOM portrait or someone you share time with online! This exhibition allows local people to create, showcase and view photographic art in our community whilst still practicing social distancing. Explore some photographic elements and make some seriously creative images or some just-for-fun portraits of your lockdown buddies!

All ages welcome to participate!

Are you interested and eager? Get to it, we can't wait to see your entry!
