    Gregory Carosi: Axis

    Gregory Carosi’s Axis explores the idea of line and the competing geographic conceptions of it in Australia. Informed by the importance of river and irrigation systems in the Riverina, Axis moves audiences away from coastal associations of line with horizontal flatness and towards an inland understanding of line as incised depth.

    Warakurna - All the Stories Got Into Our Minds And Eyes

    The Warakuna exhibition is a collection of contemporary painting and sculptures that documents a new art movement emerging from the Western Desert community of Warakurna.

    Kerri Weymouth - Remnants

    This exhibition is a tribute to influential fashion designers Ross Weymouth and John Claringbold by artist Kerri Weymouth.  Kerri worked and lived with Ross & John in Melbourne in the 1980's. Kerri has been inspired by the designer’s use of colour, style, design, attention to detail, and humour.

    Southern Highland Printmakers

    Exchange – Celebrating 21 Years of the Southern Highlands Printmakers celebrate 21 years of creative activity based around a recent print exchange amongst the members. The group is both diverse and vibrant. Visitors to the Gallery will enjoy artworks by some of Australia best printmakers.

    Warangesda

    The Warangesda Project is a joint partnership between three key organisations: Griffith Regional Art Gallery, Western Riverina Arts, and National Park and Wildlife Services with involvement of a number of key Indigenous community stakeholders including Wiradjuri community Elders, Griffith Aboriginal Medical Service and Griffith Aboriginal Land Council.

    Justene Williams - The Curtain That Breathed Deeply

    The Curtain Breathed Deeply is an expansive new commission by Sydney based artist Justene Williams. The exhibition will transform the entirety of Griffith Regional Art Gallery into an intentionally chaotic, immersive and interrelated sequence of installations.

    Walls Can Talk - Ironlak

    Walls Can Talk is the culmination of a number of urban and street art workshops undertaken by the Ironlak Crew throughout 2017. The aim of the project is to engaging the youth of Griffith and the surrounding area to engage with contemporary street art and visual culture.

    Marianne Penberthy is one of Australia’s foremost textile artists. Marianne is ‘searching for an organic expression for [her] natural surroundings and stories about [her] landscape experiences. This quest includes ideas about place, time, memory, isolation, feelings and belonging’.
