Griffith Regional Art Gallery & Western Riverina Arts sought out exhibition proposals from artists residing in the Western Riverina region for the 2017 Art Space program at Griffith Regional Theatre. This initiative sees six local exhibitions at Griffith Regional Theatre’s Artspace, 1 Neville Place Griffith, NSW, 2680. Exhibitions are displayed for six weeks at this venue.

THEATRE TURNS 30! Monday 27 February - Friday 17 March 2017
An exhibition of ephemera, posters, photos & programs celebrating the history and development of Griffith Regional Theatre.

ANTHEA DA SILVA: FANCY PANTS Monday 27 March - Friday 5 May 2017
A series of moving and humorous portraits referencing identity through signifiers of femininity, masculinity and gender fluidity.

JOANNA CHAUNCY: CURRENTS Monday 15 May - Friday 23 June 2017
Riverina based artist Joanna Chauncy’s exhibition will address themes of connectedness to the landscape and place.

WARANGESDA Monday 3 July - Friday 11 August 2017
Complimenting Warangesda Deep Waters, an exhibition of historical materials referencing the experience of Aboriginal people at Warangesda mission.

WINDOWS TO MY WORLD Monday 21 August - Friday 29 September 2017
A photography exhibition by local young artists as part of MyFest; Murrumbidgee Youth eXtreme Arts Festival.

CARMELA KOZLOWSKI: LIGHT Monday 10 October - Friday 17 November 2017
A body of Carmela’s most recent work exploring light and form: a journey embracing light, as if by illusion, it catches a moment in time and perception of what is seen changes.
