Celebrating 40 Years

The Griffith Regional Art Gallery is thrilled to announce its momentous 40th anniversary on Saturday 9 September, marking four decades of enriching the local arts and culture scene. To commemorate this significant milestone, the Gallery is curating a community exhibition, Celebrating 40 Years, that will showcase a diverse collection of artworks, historical information, and other ephemera, providing an immersive experience into the Gallery's rich and vibrant history.

The upcoming exhibition will serve as a retrospective celebration, paying homage to the Gallery's extensive journey and the countless artists, patrons, and supporters who have contributed to its success. Celebrating 40 Years will run from Saturday 26 August to Sunday 24 September. The anniversary celebration event will be held on Saturday 9 September from 2pm.

To local artists, we encourage you to create artwork based on your experiences with the Gallery. To patrons who have purchased a beloved artwork from exhibitions during the Gallery’s 40 years, or who have photographs, print media or any other Art Gallery mementos, we would love to hear from you!
