BE INSPIRED BY AUTHOR AND ADVENTURER JEREMY SCOTT AT THE LIBRARY

Griffith residents will have the opportunity to meet an inspiring young man who has proven anything is possible as long as you’re willing to take that first step.

Author and adventurer Jeremy Scott will share his courageous story at the Griffith City Library on Thursday, 6 December at 6pm - 8pm.

On 5 October 2011, Jeremy began the challenge of a life time, a two-and-a-half year, and 51,916 km solo bicycle ride from London to New Zealand.

As he pedalled his way around the planet, Jeremy covered more than enough distance to circumnavigate the earth.

This phenomenal journey was made possible thanks to the open-heart surgery which saved his life as a child.

Jeremy will be discussing his colossal journey and his new book, ‘A Long Road from a Broken Heart’.

“His book includes encounters with corrupt policemen and wild dogs, plagues of rodents, the scamming Filipino Mafia and even finding a dead body,” Ms Tagliapietra said.

“Jeremy is inspiring and the experiences he had while cycling the world are incredible.

“I urge local people to come along and hear from this remarkable man.”

Jeremy is the recipient of the Australian Heart Foundation’s Heart Hero Award and Ambassador for Waterline Challenge.

Hear from Jeremy at the Griffith City Library on Thursday, 6 December at 6pm - 8pm. Light refreshments will be provided. RSVP by calling the Library on 6962 8300 or online at jeremyscott.eventbrite.com.au
