INAUGURAL CHARITY EVENT RAISES FUNDS FOR YOUTH

When KFC Griffith held its inaugural Eat with Confidence charity evening recently, Griffith City Council Mayor John Dal Broi was there to thank members of the community for their support.

Over $5,000 was raised on the night for the KFC Youth Foundation, bringing KFC Griffith's total raised so far this year to a massive $15,000.

Councillor Dal Broi was thrilled to be invited to present a “big cheque” on behalf of Griffith to the KFC Youth Foundation.

“The KFC Youth Foundation, as well as our local youth support services, assist in helping all of our youth to thrive,” Cr Dal Broi said.

“I was extremely happy to be part of such a worthwhile event and I thank KFC for inviting me to represent our generous community.

“I commend everyone involved in this initiative, it is wonderful to see big business giving back.”

The charity event, held on Monday 19 August 2019, in the Griffith KFC Restaurant provided a platform for local youth community service providers to share their mission, stories and how they contribute to supporting and developing Griffith’s youth.

Fresh, hand-prepared chicken, generously donated by Baiada was served on the night.
