STARTING TO LOOK A LOT LIKE CHRISTMAS AT GRIFFITH CITY LIBRARY

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas at Griffith City Library, with events planned to get locals in the festive spirit.

Children are invited to write and post their letters and wish-lists to Santa Claus early to ensure they receive a reply from the man in red before Christmas Day.

To take part, simply drop your letters to Santa in the special box provided and the Library will post it to the North Pole. Don’t forget to include your address so Santa can reply.

Letters will be accepted until Saturday, 15 December 2018.

The Library will also be hosting two Christmas Parties in December.

The Rhyme Time Christmas Party will be held on Tuesday, 18 December at 10am.

Join us as we sing and dance to all of your favourite Christmas carols and tunes. A light morning tea will be provided.

Storytime Christmas Party will be held on Friday 21 December at 11am.

Griffith Regional Theatre Youth Theatre Troupe will be performing the play ‘How the Grinch stole Christmas’ for the Storytime children and parents.

Santa will make a surprise appearance at both Christmas Party events.

Experience the joy of giving this December, with the Library being a donation point for Griffith Community Centre and Griffith Carevan’s ‘Giving Tree’.
Non-perishable items such as canned food, pasta, sauces, as well as personal care products such as soap, toothpaste, shampoo etc are perfect donations which will be given to local families in need this Christmas.

Donations will be collected until Monday 19 December 2018, please do not wrap donations.

Griffith City Library Manager, Karen Tagliapietra, wishes all members a safe and happy festive season.

For more information call the Library on 6962 8300.
