Griffith Regional Theatre invites women (and men) of all ages to celebrate International Women’s Day with a free satellite broadcast of All About Women on Sunday, 10 March from 1pm.

All About Women is an exciting forum featuring talks and panel discussions around the diverse and challenging issues affecting women’s lives.

Griffith Regional Theatre is live streaming three headline sessions and an exclusive backstage interview, direct from the Sydney Opera House.

The program includes fascinating panel discussions: #MetooYear Two on the current state of the #Metoo movement; a forum on Feminism in the Arab World; and some of Australia’s most prominent female leaders discussing the reality of Leading While Female.

Griffith Regional Theatre Manager, Raina Savage said, “Livestreaming gives local people the opportunity to participate in cultural and political discussions with people from all walks of life and many different viewpoints.

All About Women features leading female thinkers from around the world including bold and courageous leaders from the Arab world and some of Australia’s most powerful female politicians – Julie Bishop, Linda Burney, Sarah Hanson-Young and Julia Banks,” Ms Savage said.

“The topics drill down into issues currently affecting women’s lives. A year since the #Me Too movement went viral how is it playing out in different countries and cultures? What is the political and social reality for women in the Arab world? While some of our most popular politicians are women, why are they are still frequently overlooked for leadership positions? The leadership panel will discuss what needs to change to encourage more women to run for public office and inspire girls to want to be Prime Minister.”

All About Women runs from 1.15pm to 5.15pm on Sunday, 10 March at Griffith Regional Theatre and is completely free. Audience members are encouraged to socialise over a glass of wine and discuss the presentations in between sessions.

All About Women promotes audience interaction and conversation. Audiences can join the conversation on Twitter – Follow @IdeasattheHouse and #AllAboutWomen
