Position Description

About this position

The role involves the daily operation and maintenance of the cemeteries under the supervision of the Team Leader - Cemetery, in an effective, efficient and safe manner recognising the respect, dignity and harmonious exceptions of the Community and to assist with the burial duties as required.

Qualifications: The successful applicant must hold an “MR” licence, a WorkCover certificate or document of competency from a registered training provider for the use of a front end loader / backhoe and a General Construction Induction Training certificate (GIT or white card).

Please include copies of all relevant licenses and qualifications with your application.

Hours of work: 38 hours per week   

Salary and conditions: Commencement annual salary $49,989.16 to $54,990.00 (Grade 5). Rostered day off once a fortnight.

WATER & WASTEWATER MANAGER (Permanent)

To manage infrastructure responsible for the delivery of Potable and Raw Water through Council’s reticulated network and ensuring it complies with Australian Drinking Water Guidelines (ADWG) and Regulatory requirements. Also to efficiently manage the treatment and conveyance of Wastewater to ensure it complies with the Environmental Protection Authorities (EPA) licencing and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:  The successful applicant will require to hold the following qualifications:

  • Degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical or Chemical)
  • Demonstrated experience and advanced understanding of the functions of both water and wastewater treatment operations and maintenance.
  • Demonstrated ability to Manage and lead multi-disciplinary teams, contractors and manage plant and resources relating to the delivery of water and the treatment of wastewater.
  • Hold a General Construction Induction Training certificate (GIT or White Card)
  • Hold a current Class C diver license.

Hours of work: 35 hours per week. 

Salary and conditions: Annual salary range $105,606.28 to $116,168.00 (Grade 22). Plus civil liability allowance and Superannuation. Fully maintained lease back vehicle.  Rostered day off once a month.

Qualifications: The successful applicant will require to hold the following qualifications and experience:

  • Bachelor of Urban and Regional Planning or other degree relevant to the industry or other relevant industry experience.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of designing urban open spaces
  • Demonstrated experience in Community Consultation;
