Council is seeking applications from enthusiastic motivated individuals for the following position(s)

WATER & WASTEWATER MAINTENANCE OPERATOR/RELIEF PUMPWELL OPERATOR (Permanent)

The purpose of the Water and Wastewater Maintenance Operator/Relief Pumpwell Operator is to construct, operate and maintain Councils water and sewerage reticulation system and pump stations to relevant standards in a safe, economical and proficient manner, using the plant, equipment and materials supplied.

Qualifications:  The successful applicant will require a current “MR” licence and a General Construction Induction Training certificate (GIT or white card). Please include copies of all relevant licenses and qualifications with your application

Hours of work: 38 hours per week. 

Salary and conditions: Commencement annual salary $53,670.24 to $59,035.60 (Grade 7). Rostered day off once a fortnight.

EVENTS COORDINATOR (Permanent)

The Events Coordinator will coordinate and deliver key Council managed tourism events, secure new tourism events and provide support to wider tourism event and festival programs across the city that contribute to the economic growth of Griffith.

Qualifications: The successful applicant will require tertiary qualifications in the event management or equivalent field or demonstrated extensive experience and skills working in event management including planning and creation of events.  Please include copies of all relevant licenses and qualifications with your application.

Hours of work: 35 hours a week (Monday to Sunday)

Salary and conditions: Commencement annual salary $71,695.00 to $78,863.20 (Grade 14).
