Griffith Genealogical & Historical Society Inc

Thursday - Saturday 1pm - 5pm

To promote family history research, transcribe & record early burials of the pioneers of this area and to assist members trace their own history.

The Griffith Genealogical & Historical Society was established in 1981.

Although a comparatively small society our members actively enjoy their hobby.

Our library has an extensive range of resources from  Australia and Overseas, including FREE access to the internet including Ancestry.com to help members with their family research.  These resources are continuously being added to.

The Society is closed its doors on the 16th December 2023. Majority of assets have gone to the City Library. Photographs have gone to the Pioneer Park Museum. Anything to do with the Wars has gone to the War Memorial Museum. People will still be able to do research at the Library and there will be a roster of existing members of the Society drawn up so they will be on duty to assist anyone who needs help with their research.
