Calabrese Women's Association
Calabrese Women's Association was formed with the aim of empowering its members to tell their stories.
In 1996 a committee was formed to collate stories and history of the calabrese culture. The aim was to preserve the tradition, cultures and customs. Bridging between the past and the future. Documenting and displaying the information for future generation.
Exhibitions that have been held include: A trunk full of memories - show casing the calabrese life.
Stitches over time - show casing calabrese dress makers and dress designers.
