In September 1968, a small group of Italian-Australian businessmen and Scalabrini Fathers held the first meeting of the organisation known today as Scalabrini Village.
It was their vision to build a place where their family members could feel at home; a place where the Italian language, food and Christian faith flourished. It was an inspiring model of community driven collaboration, as one generation created a living legacy of care and support for the next.
Today, the organisation is managed by professionals with outstanding skills and extensive experience in the Australian Aged Care sector.
After 45 years, the Italian culture still lies at the heart of every Scalabrini Village.
