Notice To Griffith Residents: Change in Taste of Drinking Water

Published on 18 December 2024

Griffith City Council wishes to advise residents that a recent change in the taste of drinking water is due to variations in the quality of raw water entering the treatment works, following the recent heavy rain events.

Some residents have reported the change in taste. However, Council can assure the community that the water remains safe to drink.

Adjustments to the treatment process are being made, which is expected to improve the taste within the coming days.

Council appreciates residents’ patience and understanding as we work to resolve this matter.
